Induction Heat Treating

Induction Heat Treating process is used to alter the physical and sometimes chemical properties of metal. To harden by quenching, metal must be heated above the upper critical temperature then quickly cooled. Tempering involves heating steel below lower critical temperature to impart toughness.

Benefits

Increase wear resistance, Increase surface strength, Induce suitable residual and compressive stress, Improve fatigue life, Improve impact resistance

Capabilities

Materials: Carbon Alloys

OD: .750″ to 2.500″

Lengths: 20 to 40 feet

Equipment

Horizontal Scanner

We often state that we are not heat treaters, but we have designed an exceptionally proficient process for a raw motor shafting product line.  For all other needs, we have essential partnerships with a variety of Heat Treating Specialists to supply the finished product you need.
